Ram question (sorry I'm English)

Hi sorry this is in English but maybe someone here can help? I have a Dell XPS Notebook 14 (L421X) (1 ram slot) dell says the max ram is 8gb but I've seem some suggestions online that you CAN put 16gb in, I'd really like to upgrade, do you know if IT IS possible? If it is what would I need to look for specs wise?

According to information, the XPS 14 can only use 8 GB Ram ...

The XPS will not run stable with 16 GB because it does not have the needed address lines to address 16 GB. Depending on the configuration of the RAM module it might be able to boot with 16 GB and show 16 GB of available RAM. But since the XPS does not have the needed address lines, it will crash at the latest when the OS tries to address more than 8 GB.
