      Hallo allerseits!

      Ich versuche vergebens WLAN einzurichten.

      Die WLAN-Karte ist: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN Network

      Der Schalter ist auf "an" - die Leuchte für WLAN leuchtet.

      Internet über Kabel funktioniert einwandfrei.

      iwconfig liefert:

      Eigentlich sollte, soweit ich bei unbuntuusers.de und sonst wo nachgelesen habe, diese Karte funktionieren.

      Kann mir jemand helfen? Ich bin, abgesehen vom Benutzen von Suse Linux, ein Anfänger in solchen Dingen und habe irgendwie bis jetzt nichts gefunden, was mir weiterhilft.

      so gut kenne ich mich zwar auch nicht aus...

      Was genau funktioniert denn nicht? Findet er das Netzwerk wenigstens?
      Ich kann bloß sagen, dass es bei mir läuft. Mit WPA-Verschlüsselung haut es allerdings manchmal bei mir nicht hin. Hier in der FH habe ich ein ungesichertes Netz, da gehts einwandfrei. Also ggf. mal ohne Verschlüsselung probieren

      Vielleich weiß ja noch jemand mehr...

      @MartinXPS: Vielleicht liegts ja an der 64-bit Version von Ubuntu Hardy....

      Frage: Wird bei WPA-Verschlüsselung das Netz erst gar nicht erkannt? Bei mir wird nämlich keines erkannt. Hab gerade nachgesehen, der Treiber für die Karte ist vorhanden und geladen, nur ist scheinbar kein Netwerk zugegen, das erkannt wird...

      ich hab etwas ganz fatales festgestellt.... ich hab auf den network-manager immer rechts geklickt und nichts von Netzwerken gesehen, jetzt hab ich mal nach endloser langer Suche im Netz festgestellt, dass man LINKS draufklickt und..... naja, das Netzwerk ist da und funktioniert einwandfrei....

      Sorry, dass ihr mir euere Zeit geopfert habt! :(

      Da macht sich bemerkbar, dass es nur noch besser werden kann bei meinen Ubuntu-Kenntnissen....

    • Hmm, habs gerade probiert, da gings. Ich brauch das nicht so oft...
      Aber ich glaube, erkannt hat er es schon immer. Kann höchstens mal so 1-1,5 Minuten dauern.

      Ich habe habe, glaube ich, immer die Verbindung ein par mal deaktiviert+aktiviert (unter "Manuell einrichten") und dann gings wieder.
      Ansonsten, keine Ahnung. Bin (noch) kein Linux-Spezialist. =)

      nachdem ich bei mir nachgeschaut habe, was die Befehle geben, die du auch in der Konsole eingegeben hast, funktioniert mein Wlan jetzt auch nicht mehr... es ist zwar alles da, auch das Netzwerk, allerdings kommt einfach keine Verbindung zu stande....

      Nachtrag: hab mal mit "Edit Wireless Network" mein Netzwerk gelöscht, und dann neu verbunden, das Passwort wieder eingegeben, jetzt funktionierts wieder! Strange are the ways of Ubuntu Linux....
