vielen dank für die Mühe, ich habe den Angegebenen Treiber C3XKT_A00_setup_ZPE.exe nach Dell/Drivers/C3XKT entpackt und dann die Aktuelle dell_wwan_sysID.dat (vom 10.8.13) dort hinein kopiert und somit die enthaltene überschrieben.

Die Installation meldet aber leider immer noch ''Authentication Failed"

Kann das daran liegen das ich Win8 habe oder mache ich was falsch?

PS: Der Manager lies sich Installieren, und auch die Treiber 5530+5540, die mir ja aber nichts nutzen.

Ich hatte tatsächlich noch eine sysID.dat mit einer anderen Dateigröße auf meinem Rechner. Hab die Datei nochmals runter geladen und unter einem anderen Namen gespeichert. Dann die alte gelöscht und die neue mit dem richtigen Namen versehen.

Danach lief die Installation ohne zu meckern durch.

Nach der Installation hat der Manager irgendwas in der Richtung gesagt: "Konnte SIM nicht starten" oder so ähnlich, hab ich mir leider nicht gemerkt. Aber nach einem Neustart des Rechners hat auch dies geklappt und ich konnte meine PIN eingeben. Nach einem Augenblick hat er auch mein Netz gefunden und konnte sich auch verbinden.

Auch der GPS Empfang klappt!

Ich hab ein Dell Vostro 3460 mit einem WWAN 5560 das eigendlich immer ging
Ohne Manager software wohlgemerkt das hat alles mein windows 8 geregelt.

Jetz hab ich mal auf 8.1 geupdatet und der schock das lebens bekommen, ich krieg das modul nich zum laufen.

X Treiber versucht auch das im Forum.

VLT is meins nich in der liste ?

Aber richtig Stange ist das es mir als nicht erkanntes gerät angezeigt wird.
Und ein zweites mal als erkanntes gerät unter USB ?

Sometime ago I tried installing a driver for my Ebay 5520 Card , but it did not work, and I gave up

Today I have downloaded the Dell Wireless Mobile Broadband MiniCard Driver [ R159896.exe] ( not Service Provider dependant ) which at first execution removed the previously installed DELL Mobile Broadband Card Utility and asked for a restart.

After the Restart the Device Manager showed the Modem stilll present DELL Wireless 5520 Cingular Mobile Broadband ( 3G HSDPA) .
I then Disabled - Uninstalled the Modem ( with a check in Delete Driver).


No need for a restart - after which I executed the R159896.exe once again which re-installed the DELL Mobile Broadband Card Utility .
but when I run the application I again get the error message DELL Mobile Broad Band Card Utility has stopped working,
and the Device Manager is again showing the DELL Wireless 5520 Cingular Mobile Broadband ( 3G HSDPA)



Using the Task Manager I have tried the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter - testing the dmbcu.exe in Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) compatibility mode.

This got me one step further as the DELL Mobile Broadband Card Utility appears to work during the compatibility test, however the app now gives an error message :

NO Service

Incompatible Card
Reinstall Software

- I understand I might eventually have purchased a Cingular card ( bought in the UK, but Cingular is a US operator now AT&T ??) - but is there a way to overcome this mismatch if that is te problem, and make the card work on my platform using a non Cingular SIM card ?

Using the Auth.exe program I get the following :

Here is what I have done :

In Device Manager- Modems : Uninstall the Device with tick mark in the Delete Driver

In Control Panel - Programs and Features : Uninstall Dell Mobile Card Utility/ Publisher: Novatel Wireless/ Version 2.06.03.050

ShutDown-Restart
Run Your TMobile_GPS_ON.EXE


Then start the
Dell Mobile Card Utility - getting a new W8 Blank/white window and nothing more

Then Changing the Compatibility settings to Vista SP3 - Hurray the app works again - but no change to the NO SERVICE , INCOMPATIBLE CARD REINSTALL SOFTWARE 000:00:00


Trying to find the Hardware ID : Is that different from the 521 in my previous msg ?

I am using WINDOWS 8 Pro 32-bit
The Device Manager shows no exclamation marks anywhere
I have installed the Extra Initialization Command you suggested.
The result however when I start the DMBCU remains the same : NO SERVICE - Incompatible Card ... as per the picture previously attached
btw I reside in Belgium and I am not on VODAPHONE but on MOBISTAR. Note: there is no SIM card in the Slot at this time.

Within 2 weeks I should have a second XPS M1330 running Vista. ( I have sent the one I had - for repair since the Power Supply finally gave up

Versuche eine Dell 5560 (Ercison Bezeichnung F5321) in einem Dell Latitude D430 zum Laufen zu bekommen.

Ich bin nach Anleitung vorgegangen und habe mir die Treiber von Seite 1 runtergladen, das Setup abgebrochen und die dell_wwan_sysID.dat ersetzt.

Allerdings bekomme ich dennoch die Fehlermeldung "Authetication failed." Gibt es evl. eine neuere Version der dell_wwan_sysID.dat welche die Kombination Latitude D430 und Dell 5560 unterstützt?

Vorab schonmal besten Dank. Kann leider erst später testen ob sich das Setup mit der geänderten Datei jetzt ausführen lässt. Unabhängig davon hatte ich gestern die Karte mal in mein D630 gebaut. Auch dort erscheint die Fehlermeldung "Authentication failed". Könntest du die ID eines D630 evtl. auch noch aufnehmen?

Werde diesen Beitrag nochmal editieren wenn ich die Kombination D430 5560 getestet habe.

Das Treiberpaket lässt sich mit deiner angepassten Datei jetzt installieren. Vielen Dank dafür.
Kannst du das auch noch für einen Latitude D630 machen? Wäre echt net.
